Project Stars

The Anesthesiology Service of the SJD Children's Hospital takes part in the development of this project to improve patient care funded by the European Community

The STARS project, founded by the European Community, aims to find an innovative solution to reduce the stress of patients who must undergo surgery. The reduction of stress and anxiety can help patients to face the surgery with more calm and to recover better and faster after the intervention. During the development phases, the STARS project aims to actively involve the patients themselves and their families, as well as technology companies and a hospitals networks and health centers in Europe.

On November 18, 2017, the Prior Information Notice (P.I.N.) was published for the STARS project in the European Tenders Electronic Daily. The pre-commercial acquisition of STARS aims to find solutions to empower patients through professional recovery and stress prevention services.
