Professor of Anatomical Pathology at the University of Barcelona since 2007. Head of the Surgical Pathology Department at Hospital Clínic Barcelona from 1993 to 2013. Head of the Anatomical Pathology Department and Director of the Biobank at SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital since 2014. I have extensive training in Anatomical Pathology, however my main interest is Neuropathology, particularly Tumour Neuropathology. My personal mottos include the following: "I'm enthralled by the new and in love with the old" (J.V. Foix, 1947). "If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants" (Isaac Newton 1676).
