SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital is committed to create and maintain a caring and protective environment that fosters its core values, while at the same time preventing and speaking out against child abuse and mistreatment.
We strongly condemn all forms of child abuse, both inside and outside our organisation, and we always respond within our sphere of influence to all cases of abuse according to their nature, whether proven, suspected or attempted.
Our efforts ensure that mechanisms are in place to raise awareness, implement preventive assistance, encourage the value of reporting and respond carefully. These mechanisms range from human resource development measures, such as training and counselling, to suspension, dismissal and legal action. You can see what measures we do take in our Child Protection Policy (in Spanish).
