
A space for dissemination and transfer of knowledge about the research carried out at SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital.
The Science Forum is a space for learning about research and health sciences. This space aims to disseminate the latest scientific advances in research at the at SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital, to improve the health and quality of life of children and pregnant women. Among the aims of this initiative are the following:
- To make the science and the results of the research carried out at SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital more accessible to families, patients and citizens.
- To promote education and the transfer of knowledge.
- To publish the benefits of the research and collaborative innovation models, as well as the results of projects carried out through this participative methodology.
- To encourage the participation of patients and families, associations and the general public in research and innovation initiatives.
- To develop innovative teaching resources adapted to the characteristics of the adolescent population to promote scientific vocations and encourage an active role of this population in health research and innovation. With this aim, the platform has provided a training programme made up of several teaching units aimed at compulsory and non-compulsory secondary education students.
Dissemination activities
The Science Forum provides a programme of research dissemination activities.
Displays at SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital which will consist of a brief tour which will include informative information in different forms (videos, info-graphs, images and interactive displays). The exhibits are both in person and virtual.
Our experts will offer information in webinar or hybrid form on the advances in various branches of the research of childhood, adolescence and pregnancy diseases and conditions.
The project includes a collection of educational resources in digital form and teaching units for secondary education and high school.
