Dolors Heras Ribot

Heras is a specialist in financial leadership, strategic planning, and healthcare management, with more than thirty years of international experience in leading hospitals, academic institutions, and biomedical research organizations. She currently serves as Director of Planning and Development at SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital.

Heras holds a degree in Economics with a specialization in Finance and Business Economics, as well as postgraduate training in European integration and an MBA. She began her career at McKinsey & Company, where she worked on strategic consulting projects primarily in the healthcare sector in Barcelona and Madrid. She later held several senior leadership positions at the Unió Catalana d’Hospitals and other organizations within the Catalan healthcare system.

She subsequently built an extensive career at Hospital Clínic Barcelona, where she held a range of management and financial leadership roles. From 2015 to 2026, she served as Vice President of Administration and Chief Financial Officer of the Mount Sinai Fuster Heart Hospital in New York, leading the financial strategy and administrative operations of the Mount Sinai Health System’s cardiovascular service line. During this period, she spearheaded initiatives focused on growth, expansion, and long-term financial sustainability across several hospitals within the system.

She also collaborated with the Manhiça Health Research Centre (CISM) in Mozambique as Financial Director and Strategic Consultant, contributing to institutional reorganization, financial sustainability, and the strengthening of financial management at one of Africa’s leading global health research centers.
