Raquel Montero Sánchez

I started my professional career at SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital where I have been able to train in various areas of the laboratory. I have dedicated 14 years to the study of rare diseases in the Biochemical Laboratory - Metabolopathies, specifically to the study of mitochondrial diseases (Q10 deficiencies) and congenital disorders of glycosylation (CDG) as a postdoctoral researcher-CIBERER.

In recent years I have also started a teaching career as an associate professor at the Universitat de Barcelona where I teach Biochemistry classes in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of the Pharmacy Faculty.
