How to find us

Getting here from the Airport

In the T1 and T2 terminals you can access the metro line L9 Sud. This line leads to the University area, near the SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital stop from which you can reach by foot or by bus. From the Barcelona-El Prat Airport you can also use the taxi service. Check the terminals where you can find it and the prices specified in some of the usual routes.

  • L-63 (Pl. Universitat – Av. Generalitat, direction. Esplugues).
  • L-68 (Hospital Clínic – Cornellà).
  • L-78 (Estació de Sants – Sant Joan Despí).
  • E44 (Barcelona, Zona Universitària - Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona)
  • EP1 (Esplugues de Llobregat, La miranda – Zona Universitària).
  • EP2 (Esplugues de Llobregat (centro ciudad) – Hospital Sant Joan de Déu).
  • JM/JustMetro (Sant Just Desvern – Sant Joan de Déu – Zona Universitària).
  • N12/Night bus (Pl. Portal de la Pau – Pl. Catalunya – Pg. Sant Joan de Déu – Sant Feliu).
  • V1 (Districte Gran Via l'Hospitalet / Av. Esplugues).
  • H2  (Av. Esplugues / Trinitat Nova).

  • L-54 (Campus Nord. Pl. Eusebi Güell – Estació del Nord).
  • L-67 (Cornellà – Pl. Catalunya).
  • H6 (Zona Universitària – Fabra i Puig).  

Getting here by metro

If you travel with L3 and L9 Sud with the underground, the closest stop to the SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital is Zona Universitària, which is around 10 or 15 minutes walking distance. To get to the Hospital you have to walk through Parc de Cervantes or go up the street González Tablas. There are also connections to several bus lines.

Getting here by train

Catalonia rail service trains go to Barcelona Sants station. The frequency and duration of the journey depends on the line used. Once you arrive at Barcelona Sants station, take L3 metro towards Canyelles/Zona Universitària for 5 stops and get off at the Zona Universitària station. Then get on the following bus lines, JM (JustMetro), E44 or EP1 at the street Exèrcit Trias i Giró, and get off at one of the two Hospital stops (Outpatients or Hospital Sant Joan de Déu). Outside Barcelona Sants trains station you may also take the bus number 78 that stops at the Hospital.

Getting here by tram

There are several tram lines nearby, which connect with the bus lines EP1, EP2 and JM, at both the Zona Universitària station (Barcelona) and the Can Clota station (Esplugues de Llobregat).

  • T1 (Francesc Macià – Zona Universitària – Bon Viatge).
  • T2 (Francesc Macià – Zona Universitària – Llevant, Les Planes).
  • T3 (Francesc Macià – Zona Universitària – Sant Feliu).

Getting here by car

If coming to the Hospital by car, the most direct options are as follows:

  • Ronda de Dalt (exits 10, 11 and 12 depending on the direction of travel).
  • Access via Avenida Diagonal at Zona Universitària / Caserna del Bruc. Follow the signs.

The Hospital does not have its own car park, so there are several options for parking your vehicle.

  • Blue zone: the zone surrounding SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital is a regulated parking zone. To park your car you must pay for a ticket for a limited time period and leave it in a visible place in your car.
  • You can also leave your car in the private SABA car park where “Saba Tempo” vouchers are available.
