Adrián Moreno Ruiz

I am a geneticist specialising in genetic counselling, with extensive experience in the paediatric, reproductive, prenatal and oncological fields. For over two years, I have been working at the SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital, providing genetic counselling to paediatric patients and their families to help them understand the implications of their diagnoses and come to terms with them, whilst empowering them to make informed decisions.

Genetics accompanies patients throughout their entire life cycle. Indeed, genetic conditions can be detected during pregnancy, manifest at birth or appear later in life, and can affect multiple organs or systems in the body; that is why I would like my professional career at SJD Barcelona to be as interdisciplinary as genetics itself, enabling me to care for patients of any age and from any medical specialism.
