Albert Bota i Arqué

He is Director of Engineering, General Services and Property Security at SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital, where he coordinates a multidisciplinary team which maintains the technical and electro-medical facilities, the general services, the catering services, telecommunication services, as well as the hospital's prevention services, among other tasks.

He studied Technical Mechanical Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and Mechanical Engineering at De Montfort University, Leicester (United Kingdom). After working for a short time in different technical offices in metallurgical companies, he completed a Master's degree in Facility Management and embarked on a professional career in Property Management. Over a four-year period, he was responsible for the final phase of construction and commencement of activities at the National Theatre of Catalonia (TNC). From there, he went on to assume the same tasks as head of maintenance and/or facility manager in different companies in the telecommunications sector (Menta, Auna-Cable, Retevisión). Finally, in March 1998, he joined the Amena-Auna Group as Facilities Manager. During this period, he maintained and operated over one hundred buildings throughout Spain.
