After finishing a Pediatrics Residency in 2003, I combined my Pediatrics ICU scholarship with an unofficial subspecialisation in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital, where I have spent my entire professional career as a doctor. I then joined the Infectious Diseases Unit (a full department since 2023), where I continued learning and growing as a professional. I am currently the Interim Head of the Infectious Diseases Department and I coordinate 11 staff members in the hospital at a time of growing complexity, and huge challenges and opportunities every day. My greatest ambition is to continue working every day with children, their families and my team to overcome the healthcare challenges we face, to grow as a team in both research and training, and to foster an excellent working environment.
