María Garau Rolandi

I have been fascinated by neuropsychology since the first subject I took at university. It was then that I decided that I wanted to specialise in this field. After several years working as a neuropsychologist, I realised the importance of clinical psychology. I needed tools to be able to better accompany my patients emotionally, so I started to train in clinical psychology in order to attend to the needs of children and their families as good as possible. After more than 10 years of experience I continue to enjoy and learn.

I am an expert in neuropsychology and psychotherapy. I work as an assistant in the Neurology Service of the SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital, and as a neuropsychologist in the School Learning Disorders Unit (UTAE) of the same hospital. My professional activity focuses on the diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disorders and the neuropsychological assessment of children with Acquired Brain Injury. This assessment allows me to develop an individualised rehabilitation programme, thus minimising the impact of the symptomatology on my patients' lives.
