The paediatric hospital of the Semmelweis University of Budapest visits Sant Joan de Déu

08 October 2021

The aim of this visit was to exchange information in the field of paediatric oncology research, especially in haematology oncology

On Thursday 30 September and Friday 1 October, the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona was visited by Prof. Dr. Gábor Kóvacs, Director of the 2nd Department of Paediatrics at the Faculty of Medicine of the Semmelweis University of Budapest, Hungary, and Dr. Judit Müller, researcher at the same centre. The aim of this visit was to exchange information in the field of paediatric oncology research, especially in haematological oncology.

The two Hungarian representatives met with the Scientific Director of the Oncology Area, Dr. Jaume Mora, and with Dr. Susana Rives and Dr. Mireia Camós, who work in the clinical and research fields of haematology oncology.

They also met with members of the Institut de Recerca Sant Joan de Déu to explore possible collaborations in international projects of common interest, especially at European level.

An agreement will soon be signed between the two institutions to initiate collaboration in the area of paediatric oncology.
