Juan José García García

After obtaining a degree in Medicine (University of Barcelona), I began my internship in Pediatrics at SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital. When I finished, I had a strong connection with Pediatric Emergencies and the Short Stay Unit at the same hospital. At the same time I embarked on my scientific career and I awarded a PhD in Medicine in 1999. I have participated in a number of competitive projects and I have supervised four doctoral theses. I have specialised in Pediatric Infectious Diseases and care for hospitalised children. I have been a teaching coordinator for the hospital's interns and, since 2013 I have been the head of the Pediatrics Department. In 2025, I have become Chief Medical Office at the hospital. I credited as a tenured lecturer, and I am currently an associate lecturer at the Universitat de Barcelona.
