Paula Sánchez Ruiz

Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamt of becoming a nurse. For me, nursing is not just about treating patients themselves, but also about everything related to that, like their family and their usual environment.

I started my nursing career working in adult hospitals. I trained in hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, and that is when I found what I truly loved, which was the world of nephrology.

After several years working with adult nephrology patients, I joined this fantastic pediatric team. I trained in pediatric hemodialysis and therapeutic apheresis. Today, without a shadow of a doubt, I can say that I achieved my life’s goal, which was to work doing something I truly love. Nowadays, I keep learning so I can give my very best, and be up-to-date with innovation.

• Research group for the creation of a family guide for patients with XLH - 2024.
• Research group for the creation of the SEDEN guide for transplant patients - 2023.

• Instructor at the SJD in Peritoneal Dialysis.
