New international partnership between the SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital and the Burjeel Cancer Institute

The SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital and the Burjeel Cancer Institute (BCI), one of the best facilities in oncological care in the United Arab Emirates, have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding to work together in the field of pediatric oncology. This partnership seeks to improve treatment results for children in the region with rare diseases and complex cancers.

Among the primary areas of collaboration is the expansion of pediatric oncology care, improved results in complex cases, access to top-of-the-line oncology services, remote appointments and second opinions with specialists at the SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital, as well as expert visitation programs to exchange knowledge and for practical collaboration.

This partnership will allow both institutions to strengthen their specialist experience and offer joint management of complex cases in pediatric oncology, reaffirming their commitment to high quality pediatric care and to medical innovation.
