Gemma Campos Martínez

I have been working at SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital since I graduated from university in 2007. I began my career working as a locum surgical nurse on the night shift, carrying out duties as a scrub nurse and in anaesthesia and resuscitation. In 2011, I joined the surgical block team, working in the various units that existed at the time, until I was offered a permanent position in 2017.

Between 2019 and 2022, I covered and supported the coordination of the surgical unit, and between 2020 and 2021, I covered a leave of absence as clinical coordinator for the Women’s Health Unit.

It was in 2022, coinciding with the opening of the Pediatric Cancer Center Barcelona and my involvement in the surgical unit’s operational plan, that I took up the post I currently hold as care coordinator for the unit.
