To establish collaboration in training, research, innovation and care with respect to babies, children and adolescents: this is the main objective of the agreement signed by the CEO of Hospital Meyer, Alberto Zanobini, and the managing director of SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital, Manel del Castillo.

The two institutions agreed to collaborate within the framework of the Children's Hospitals International Executive Forum, recently held in Montreal.

The agreement that they reached represents the culmination of conversations that began more than a year ago to identify common objectives and needs as well as operational synergies. For SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital, it constitutes one more step in its strategy to establish international alliances with centres of the utmost excellence to explore opportunities and improvements in healthcare as well as research, teaching and innovation, to benefit patients and their families.

Some of the initiatives included in the agreement are: organisation of joint working groups and events, development of a methodology to measure qualitative and quantitative standards, implementation of a system for professional exchange in the context of continuing education, and development of joint projects in innovation.
