Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition
Un paciente con su madre antes de un procedimiento de gastroenterología en el Hospital de día de Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona

At the Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Paediatric Nutrition Department we treat all manner of digestive tract and liver conditions, as well as nutritional problems.

We treat children with complex illnesses, with motility problems, metabolic disorders, hepatic disorders, inflammatory bowel disease and eosinophilic oesophagitis, among other conditions. We also treat patients with common gastrointestinal problems, such as gastroesophageal reflux and abdominal pain.

We are frequently asked for second opinions on children who present with digestive symptoms (vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, abdominal pain, growth and development problems), but for which no clear diagnosis is available.

Why SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital?

Multidisciplinary approach to different diseases

We participate actively in many of the SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital's multidisciplinary units to enhance our approach to digestive and nutritional pathologies.
