The team at SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital is known worldwide for their skill and expertise in pediatric and maternal care. Leading specialists in fields such as Oncology, Neurology, Cardiology and Pediatric surgery, among others, work together to offer precise diagnoses, innovative treatments, and comprehensive care focused on the well-being of patients and their families. They also combine their healthcare activity with research and investigation.

The Hospital is highly specialised in the diagnosis and treatment of rare diseases, including childhood cancer. The complexity of the cases we handle puts our staff on another level in education and training.

International team

At SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital, we have a specialist team of more than 50 staff who are dedicated to treating our international patients and their families. From their first interaction with the Hospital, they will have a Case Manager assigned to their case, who will coordinate with our clinical teams to create a treatment proposal and personalised fee quote, and help the family prepare for their trip to Barcelona.

On arriving here, families will meet their Patient Manager, who will be looking after them during their stay. This staff member is the link between the family and the Hospital, offering any support the family may need. They are in charge of scheduling medical appointments, coordinating services like Pharmacy, handling certain purchases, and organising interpretation services for appointments, as well as the translation of any medical reports.
