Antoni Arias Enrich

He is currently Senior Assistant to the International Department at SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital, after having been its director from 2013 to 2023. From 1999 to 2012, he was Consultancy Manager and subsequently Chief Executive at IASIST, S.A., a company which has belonged to different international corporations (HCIA, Solucient, Health Care Knowledge International, United Business Media). He previously worked in the setting of hospital management and primary healthcare. He participated in the technical development of healthcare planning, information and assessment projects both regionally and at specific healthcare centres. He was manager of the Healthcare Area of Menorca, Balearic Islands (with the integrated management of the hospital and primary health care) (1996 - 1999), after working as the head of the technical office of the Regional Management for the National Health Institute (INSALUD) of the Balearic Islands (1993 - 1996) and as head of the Healthcare Information Service at Barcelona City Council's Municipal Healthcare Institute (1988 - 1993).

He worked in many doctoral and master's programmes in a number of Spanish universities and has been a guest lecturer for the ESADE Business School's Healthcare Management Programme for a lot of years. He participated in a number of healthcare research projects in Spain and for the European Union.

He holds a degree (1984) and PhD (1988) in Medicine, and a Master's degree in Epidemiology from the UTHSC School of Public Health, Houston, USA (1987). He studied in the ESADE Business School's Advanced Management Programme and in the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA (2011 - 12).
