Josep Serrat Tarrés
As a healthcare practitioner, he has worked in emergency departments and primary health care centres. In the field of management, he has served as director of the primary care team, director of public health of a health sector, director of primary care and public health of Badalona Serveis Assistencials (BSA - Badalona Healthcare Services), Manager of the Integral Health Centre Cotxeres (CIS Cotxeres) and member of the board of the Consorci Sociosanitario de Vilafranca del Penedès (Vilafranca del Penedès Social Health Consortium). He currently holds the post of the Director of Planning and Management Support of the SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital. One of his principles is that any problem has a good solution, you just need to find it.
In the academic field, he graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 1986 and specialised in Family and Community Medicine in 1990. He later received a diploma in Health from the National School of Health and studied a postgraduate degree in statistical methods in Health Sciences at the UAB. He also did a postgraduate course in psychosocial training of the Primary Health Care professional at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 1997. In 2004 he completed his training with the Master in Health Institution Management of the UAB.
