Oncology and Haematology: specialties

Oncology

We treat all childhood cancers

Neuroblastoma

We perform a molecular evaluation of the tumour to determine if it requires aggressive post-surgery treatment. We are one of the centres in Europe to apply anti-GD2 immunotheraphy.

Retinoblastoma

We apply localised chemotherapy to the tumour by means of intra-arterial chemotherapy. We are the only centre which can offer intra vitreous therapy with virus in a clinical trial.

Musculoskeletal tumours

We apply reconstruction techniques to the affected limb, with bone material from patients themselves or from a donor, to avoid amputation.

Brain and spinal cord tumours

We apply treatments in line with the most advanced chemotherapy and radiotherapy strategies. We have created our own treatment for patients with spinal gliomas.

Haematology

We treat uncommon haematological diseases

Leukaemia

Our patients are offered the most innovative treatments. We are the Spanish hospital which treats most cases of paediatric leukaemia.

Congenital bone marrow failure

We have a unit specialised in childhood bone marrow failure. We have the latest generation diagnostic techniques and we participate in trials for advanced therapies.
